World Governments Highly Vulnerable to Climate Change Collapse

by RobertConnors

While government representatives sit idly, debating over cocktails whether to do something about global climate change with carbon trading schemes, their own houses are afire. Climate change, left unchecked, will doom every government on the planet, and it will happen much sooner than they presently imagine.

BP goon or Macho cop? Bullying just the same.

by Vetwife

Well, they are really serious about not wanting videos or camera shots of what is happening down in the Gulf.
Now the little lady in the video, the one referred to I am sure as the small people by BP, held her ground quiet well
as the Big old Bad Law enforcement officer tried to make her leave.  Of course, there were no laws being broken.
I find it quite amusing that he walked away when she told him that she was going to call his supervisor.

This is absolutely outrageous that a 6'4" so called cop
tries to intimidate a young lady trying to find out what
was happening with the clean up workers, which required
an ambulance.  Well, actually two were called.
I am sure it won't be long before beachgoers and tourists
will be asked to remove all cameras and recording devices from the beach areas.

I do not work for any company that supplies those little spy pens but every person needs to invest when they can, I am for sure, in one of those little ink pens that are DVR.
They come in keychains and pens and sunglasses, and it is

Arsenic anyone with that tea...Time Bomb Poison..The Oil !

by Vetwife

I guess, till I die be posting about this horrible
sickening situation in the gulf and the hits keep coming.

Today I find out the Arsenic levels are up to the point
that it WILL get into our food chain

Where is the outrage?  Why are people concerned with elections and the Stanley Cup and Soccer and going about life and singing about God Bless America, especially the part of Oceans white with foam, when it is actually black with oil and arsenic and of course disbersements.  Below

Suspension of the 1st amendment and the Oil...This is freedom how?

by Vetwife

On this 4th of July, someone is going to have to explain to me why Anderson Cooper is reporting from the gulf about a complete violation of the 1st amendment regarding Freedom of the Press.

I do not care who is President.  I do not care what company it is.  It is our Beaches.  It is our country and people had better wake up to the fact that determining just how close you can get to aim a camera is unacceptable.

Kill to Drill

by Vetwife

Some of you may say this is all in my imagination but I can
not come up with a logical one other than this.

No matter what the hearings are producing.  No matter that
no one is seriously in jail yet.  No matter that bulldozers are covering up so much oil under the sand.
No matter that in spite of the horrific horrors of the Gulf
gusher, people are still allowed to swim.
We did not think it possible for torture to be allowed in this country.  We did not think it possible that

OK..Now there is Oily kids...SHUT DOWN THE BEACH

by Vetwife

I have been very distraught about the Gulf and
the wildlife and the sand but there is clearly
child endangerment going on in Destin.

I am posting this so people will see just how
ignorant people are and how desperate they are
to buy the propoganda of "Come on in, the water's fine".

We have dolphins dying and wildlife dying and stupid
parents allowing children to swim inhttp://www.youtube.com/...

No Words. Only Tears & Heartbreaking Images

by ridemybike

Today, during a House subcommittee meeting on the BP oil spill, Representative Charlie Melancon, a Democrat from Louisiana representing much of the coastal area being directly affected by the spill, broke down in tears while delivering his remarks. He started to quiver, and was unable to finish. He asked that his remarks be submitted for the record, and walked out of the hearing. His tears belong to all of us.

The Government Can Federalize The Oil Spill!

by slinkerwink

Yesterday, there was a diary that said that the government couldn't have direct involvement in the oil spill. Update 5 9:37 PM CDT  With kudos to Patriot News Daily Clearinghouse for posting the link on its diary  (which is well-written and a good addition to the information I've posted), we see this info via Thad Allen, who's in charge of the federal government response.  It appears that the government isn't just posturing.  It's legally not permitted to clean up.  Congress "fixed" the law after the Exxon Valdez spill. The government is overseeing the cleanup and response, but the official responsible for the oversight said he understands the discontent. ....    As simple as it may seem, the law prevents the government from just taking over, Allen said. After the 1989 Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska, Congress dictated that oil companies be responsible for dealing with major accidents — including paying for all cleanup — with oversight by federal agencies. Not so. This line of argument is false, as shown below the jumpby those knowledgeableof the Oil Pollution Act of 1990.
