There is one disturbing diary up now about Saudi Arabia and here is one more. It turns out that Saudi Arabia has convinced Qatar and Kuwait to join together to block a U.N. Climate Change study, in an apparent effort to protect their Oil Based Economy. While there has been an orchestrated effort by Fossil Fuel lobbyists to weaken international Climate Change legislation, this is the first time a state Government has openly blocked reforms. The immediate losers are the people who are members of A.O.S.I.S. - the Alliance of Small Island States - and what they have to lose by this action. crossposted at Huffington Post, Square State, and PRAER.org

CO-SEN Live Chat With Andrew Romanoff
by Andrew Romanoff
Thank you for joining me this afternoon. I look forward to our conversation. Two days ago, I won the Colorado Democratic Assembly by 21 points. I am honored to have earned the top spot on the August ballot. As I told the delegates on Saturday, the Democratic Party I led – and the Democratic Party I still believe in – doesn’t let drillers off the hook when they desecrate our environment. We force them to pay for the damage they cause and make sure it never happens again, and we revolutionize our energy policy, so that no longer have to foul our oceans or spoil our skies – or spill our blood – just to power our planet.

(video)The BP Oil Disaster and why *this* endorsement matters-DK Greenroots
by wade norris
In light of the BP Oil disaster - we can no longer allow environmental issues to be a 'secondary' campaign topic - especially when we find out that the oil spill may continue all summer. DK Greenroots, a bloc of Environmental bloggers here at Daily Kos have started a candidate fundraiser page on Act Blue. The goal is to replace global warming deniers (republicans) and also primary democrats who are too cozy with the fossil fuel industry. Their first endorsement is Andrew Romanoff, candidate for US Senate whose opponent was part of the Conservadem group that has blocked climate legislation. Mr.Romanoff's thanks to DK Greenroots and comment on BP Oil Spill

The Next Dem. Primary Senate Candidate You Should Know About (DK Greenroots)
by wade norris
Now that we have delivered victories for Joe Sestak in Pennsylvania and most likely a win for Bill Halter in Arkansas, you, the Netroots, need to know about the next important Primary Candidate. Just like the race between Lincoln and Halter, this is a choice between a Corporate powered candidate vs a People powered candidate. Andrew Romanoff has taken the same pledge that Barack Obama took to win his race - he has pledged to take no corporate PAC Contributions or Special Interest money. If you knew nothing else, that would be a good reason to support Andrew Romanoff. However, you need to know why his opponent does not deserve to be re-elected. Michael Bennet is a Bankster Senator and was a corporate raider before he was appointed a Senator. There is a clear difference in this race - supporting the Candidate who works for Wall Street or supporting Andrew Romanoff, the Candidate who works for us on Main Street.
