Criticisms

Allegations of physical and sexual abuse brought against members by clients of I'SOT's Group Home/Foster Home during the late 1980s prompted an investigation by State of California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division. The final report was filed July 26, 1991. That Investigation found a preponderance of the evidence that members of I'SOT had physically and sexually abused residents of the group home between 1978 and 1990. I'SOT's application for renewal of their license to operate the Group Home was denied, after which they appealed the decision and lost.

Your tax dollars are going to these people?

Double Dealing Dirty Canadians Want To Clean You Up

They seem so nice.  So hospitable.  I once thought that the ubiquitous Tim Horton's with dank, weak coffee and pastries that only Burger King could make worse had to be a Canadian company that patriotic Canadians chose to patronize.  It's actually a division of Wendy's.  They will just let anybody in it seems.  Even let George Bush in despite his conviction for drunk driving.

Hey, I like Canadians - except when they're driving.  Only a Yellow Cab driver in New York City or an Angeleno creating new angels regularly can be more frightening behind the wheel than the average Canuck.

But they be doing the planet dirt, even worse than Americans.

Bad Bob Is Da Mad Bomber In Geothermal Power

U.S. Geothermal built the first modern geothermal power plant in Idaho and has never really recovered from the gold-digging by Goldman-Sachs.  Goldman has gained international acclaim for its financing methods so you might have missed the hurt it laid on a geothermal power start-up.  

The juice racketeers in the old days got a call when nobody else would lend.  Their no-neck collectors had methods for collecting the juice that beat the heck out of lawyers and courts, not to mention borrowers.

Goldman and cohorts have somewhat more refined methods today but no less effective for those trying to develop the most potent of all renewable energy resources. Even Al Gore recognizes that simple fact though few of his idolizers seem to.

Why is Ram Power, a geothermal power company, headquartered in Reno and incorporated in Canada?  Why does US Geothermal Power, incorporated in the U.S., still raise money in Canada?  Why is the premiere geothermal company in the U.S., Ormat, an Israeli company?

Bob Potter is why.

Bringing Hot Water To Newcastle

UK geothermal project passes milestone

Assisted by a £460,000 grant from the Department of Energy and Climate Change, Newcastle University scientists have created a giant twin borehole central heating system, so the hot water can be raised up from 1,000m down, passed through a heat exchanger and then reinjected, via a second borehole, back in to the rocks 420m down.

Well hot damn.  Even the backward former colonials have been doing some stuff like that but not so much.  We are more addicted to coal, oil and natural gas so much so that we are filling the oceans with petroleum.

Because the water is twice as salty as seawater, it cannot be discharged into rivers. Pumping it back underground resolves an issue

Very good.

Whatever will those scientists in the land of Sir Isaac Newton think of next?
